Day 02

KATHMANDU- The Living Heritage of the Kathmandu Valley

After breakfast, proceed for a fascinating exploration of Kathmandu and its surrounding heritage. Begin at Kathmandu Durbar Square, the historic heart of the capital and a remarkable collection of palaces, courtyards, temples and traditional architecture. Once the royal seat of the Malla and Shah dynasties, the square offers an evocative glimpse into Nepal's regal past and living cultural traditions. Continue to Swayambhunath Stupa, one of Nepal's most revered Buddhist sites. Perched upon a wooded hill overlooking Kathmandu, the ancient stupa is steeped in spirituality and legend. Often referred to as the Monkey Temple, it offers both a peaceful atmosphere and sweeping views across the Kathmandu Valley. Later, discover Kirtipur, an atmospheric medieval settlement known for its traditional Newari architecture, narrow lanes and hilltop views. Wander through its historic streets and experience a quieter side of the Kathmandu Valley, far removed from the bustle of the capital. Overnight: Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03

PATAN & BHAKTAPUR Artistry, Architecture & the Royal Cities

Today is dedicated to two of the Kathmandu Valley's most captivating historic cities — Patan and Bhaktapur. In Patan, visit the magnificent Durbar Square, a masterpiece of Newari architecture and craftsmanship. Explore the former royal palace complex, ancient temples and intricately carved façades. The Patan Museum offers an exceptional introduction to Nepal's artistic heritage, while the Krishna Temple and other sacred monuments reveal the deep spiritual traditions of the city. Continue to Bhaktapur, perhaps the most evocative of Nepal's medieval cities. Often described as an open-air museum, its beautifully preserved squares, brick-and-timber houses, carved wooden windows and soaring pagoda temples create an atmosphere of another era. Take time to wander through its historic lanes and appreciate the remarkable craftsmanship for which the Kathmandu Valley is renowned. Overnight: Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 04

KATHMANDU– NAGARKOT Into the Hills on Horseback

After breakfast, depart Kathmandu by private vehicle for Nagarkot, where your Marwari horseback adventure begins. At approximately 09:30, meet your experienced riding team and be introduced to your Marwari horse. Following a safety briefing, saddle fitting and horse allocation, you will set out along peaceful countryside trails. The route gradually leaves the city behind, leading through traditional villages, terraced farmland and wooded hills. With every kilometre, the landscape becomes quieter and more rural as you ascend towards Nagarkot, one of Nepal's most celebrated hill stations and a superb vantage point for Himalayan panoramas. This first day in the saddle is as much about connecting with the horse and landscape as it is about the journey itself. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight: Hotel in Pokhara.

Continue to Devi's Fall, where water disappears dramatically into an underground passage, creating one of Pokhara's most intriguing natural landmarks. Nearby, explore Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave, a fascinating natural cavern associated with Hindu traditions and dedicated to Lord Shiva. Later, travel to the World Peace Pagoda, beautifully positioned on a hill overlooking Phewa Lake and the Pokhara Valley. The setting is wonderfully tranquil, with panoramic views stretching towards the Annapurna range. Complete the day with a leisurely one-hour boat ride on Phewa Lake.
