Jaipur is a city of history and tradition, dating back to its founding in the 17th century by Sawai Jai Singh, from whom it derives its name. Jai Sing meticulously planned the civic design of Jaipur, with wide roads and impressive architecture, all painted pink to this day. Upon arrival in Jaipur in the afternoon half-day sightseeing tour with a city tour begins with a visit to the City Palace of Maharaja, the former royal residence, part of it converted into a museum. A small portion is still used by the royal family of Jaipur. Built in the style of a fortified campus, the palace covers almost one-seventh of the city area. One of the museum's main attractions is the part known as the Armory Museum, which houses an impressive variety of guns, buses, sparks, swords, rifles and daggers. The royal families of Jaipur used most of these weapons. Later we will visit the Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble observatory in the world. Located near the city palace gate, the observatory has 17 large instruments, many of them still in working condition. Later check-in at the hotel. This evening visit one of India’s local colonies, to see the Holi puja ceremony and witness the tradition and rituals during the ceremony. On the eve of the Holi festival, on the night of the full moon, you experience joyful fires, where women and people come singing with newborn children, worship fire and share the new crop with each other. Like all festivals, Holi is very complex in its meaning. In the spiritual realm, as is evident in the accompaniment in mythology, it conveys the message of the triumph of good over evil. In nature, however, It marks the victory of spring over winter, as the festival begins with the flowering of nature. An important aspect for people is also the aspect of reconciliation, as it is said that during these days, old disputes must also be buried. On the first day, a fire is lit at night and a straw figure is burned on it, symbolizing the Holika demons. Several myths revolve around these demons. One of the most famous stories tells: The young Prince Prahlada was persuaded by his father to worship him with all divine honor, but the boy continued to worship Vishnu alone. Using various means, the king tried to kill his son, but each time Vishnu intervened and saved the child. Finally, the king resorted to a trick: his sister Holika, who was protected from fire by special powers, was to jump into the fire with Prahlada on her lap and burn it. But the flames saved the boy, and Holika was reduced to a pile of ashes. After that, people celebrate the Holi festival as a reminder of the destruction of demons. Return to the hotel for the night. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04

March 22, 2027 (Monday) In Jaipur (Holi Color Festival)

Breakfast at the hotel. "Holi is one of the oldest festivals in India. On this day, all barriers seem to be raised by caste, gender, age and social status. It is celebrated with joy, with people spraying and spreading colored water and colored powder, known as Gulal, on each other. Even those who refuse excessive indulgence, usually at least slightly dusted each other with a little powder color. Despite all the changes in modern Indian society, sacred meaning remains clearly visible; for example, colors are often blessed beforehand on the altar, and people exchange blessings. Originally, colored powders were made from certain flowers, roots and herbs known for their healing properties. Today, synthetic colors are often used. This morning, all participants receive white "Kurta & Pajama" (traditional dress for Holi celebrations) and head to a place where Holi will take place with colors, music and dancing. One of the most popular Holi festivals is held in Jaipur. Here you can enjoy an excellent buffet lunch and witness cultural performances. Of course, there is plenty of color to indulge. If you are interested in experiencing the culture and traditions of Holi, Jaipur is one of the best options. Holi in Jaipur will undoubtedly result in unforgettable experiences."
